The Board looks like this #

Colour Indicator #

The outside of the board is either * red * black * white This indicates the colour that is to move next If the indicator is white then the game is not in progress. Either * It has been played to completion * It has not yet started

Move Indicator #

If you are playing the colour that is to move A piece that may move will have a thick boundary

A piece that may not move will have a thin boundary

Check Indicator #

When a player is in check their palace is shaded with the opponents colour

Checkmate Indicator #

Checkmate happens when * Player starts the move in Check * There are no moves to get out of check

How to place a Move #

You may place a move by * Clicking on a piece with a thick border * This will show you the places you may move to * You complete the move when you click on a landing place * You may click on a different piece to try a different move If you attempt to place a move but do not have the correct permissioning cookies (or you have delete them) then the move will NOT be applied In this case you have to contact the game owner to ask for a new game invitation

Previous Move Indicator #

The last move made is described by a line on the board * Starting with a circle, when the piece started * Ending at the moved position of the piece
